Join us for a workshop with Saara Khan, Facebook’s Engineering Lead for Augmented and Virtual Reality. She is currently leading development on next-generation head-mounted displays like VR headsets and goggles. She works on the system architecture for future headsets. Previously, Saara was the Hardware Lead and focused on sensor technologies.
After graduating from Stanford with a Masters and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Saara founded a company working on using lidar and AI.
Currently, Saara also is an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford’s d.school. She co-leads the Creativity in Research Scholars program. She teaches students apply design thinking to research.
She will talk about the role of confidence and growth mindset in her success, lead an activity on VR and design thinking and mingle with girls over food.
