Join us for a workshop with Victoria Garrick, a former Division I volleyball player for USC and a mental health and body-image advocate.
Victoria was a four-year starter at USC. She won a Pac-12 championship, made two Elite Eight appearances, and served for two seasons as captain of USC’s women volleyball team. In 2018 as a senior, Victoria finished 1st in total digs for the entire Pac-12 conference, ending her career with the top 5 most digs in USC program history.
Victoria also openly shared her struggles with mental health as a student athlete in her TED Talk Athletes and Mental Health: The Hidden Opponent. She partnered with Instagram and the JED Foundation to launch her 2019 Mental Health Tool Kit. Through her work advocating for mental health and body-image, Victoria has been featured in The Players’ Tribune, USA Today College, and Popsugar magazine.
Additionally, Victoria hosts RealPod, a podcast where she interviews people with inspiring stories, asking them about their story and the challenges they faced. She hopes to keep things real and normalize vulnerability.
Victoria will share her story, lead an activity on volleyball, and mingle with girls.
Due to Covid-19 and social distancing orders, this workshop has been canceled.
