Join us for a conversation with Brenda Villa, a four-time Olympian, and come say hello to her four Olympic medals. Brenda, the most decorated women's water polo player, played for Stanford and was named the top female college player in the US.
Brenda and her team won a silver in Sydney, bronze in Athens, and silver in Beijing. Brenda’s final Olympics were in 2012 in London, where she won a gold medal. Looking back, Brenda says, “Having fun, having that passion made [winning the gold medal] possible. Because, it’s a grind. You are training, it’s not always glamorous, it’s not always easy.”
Brenda Villa will speak about her journey and how staying confident unlocked her path to winning so many medals. Afterward, Brenda will lead an activity to teach the girls fundamentals of water polo (this will not require girls to swim) and then mingle with them over food.
