“Many little girls go through a princess phase. I want them to have their inventor phase — and hope that for many of them it will be a lifelong passion." Debbie Sterling
Debbie Sterling is the founder and CEO of Goldieblox, a toy company whose mission is to “disrupt the pink aisle [in toy stores].” Goldieblox is challenging gender stereotypes with Goldie, the world’s female engineer toy character. Goldieblox makes toys, books, apps, videos and animation that engage young girls and build their confidence.
Debbie got her engineering degree from Stanford in 2005 and is now an engineer and entrepreneur. She is a leading woman in the movement to empower girls and build their confidence. In 2012, Debbie was on Fortune Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list.
Join us for an interactive conversation with Debbie. And remember to bring your engineering brain, because we will be building some fun toys! If you are interested in attending, please RSVP below. We only have 25 spaces.
