Did you ever want to be a pilot, a Venture Capitalist or an Olympian? Join us for a conversation with Bonny Simi, venture capitalist, commercial pilot, Olympian, and TV commentator. At age 14, she wrote five goals for herself: go to a good college, go to the Olympics, become a TV commentator, become a pilot, and build a log cabin.
Simi checked off the first goal after graduating from Stanford. She was then a three-time Olympian and 10 time national champion in the sports of luge and bobsled. Later, she was a TV sports commentator for NBC and CBS. While doing this, Simi was one of the few female commercial pilots for United and then JetBlue. She flew 727, 737 and 777 jets domestically and internationally for United. After leaving United, Simi joined JetBlue, and is now the President of JetBlue Technology Ventures, their investment firm.
Bonny Simi will share her amazing life journey and talk about the role of confidence in her success. She will then lead an activity about how planes fly.
