Join us for a workshop with Katie Holloway, a three-time Paralympian and Gold Medalist in Sitting Volleyball.
Throughout high school, Katie played basketball and volleyball. She went on to play basketball at Cal State Northridge, where she won the Big West Woman of the Year award. At Cal State, she became the first and only woman to play NCAA basketball with a prosthetic limb.
While in college, Katie also began to focus on sitting volleyball. In the 2008 and 2012 summer Paralympics, Katie won a Silver medal. At the Rio Olympics, Katie won a Gold medal.
Katie will talk about her life as an athlete, the role of confidence in her success and lead an activity teaching girls how to play sitting volleyball.
