Join us for a workshop with Libby Schaaf, Mayor of Oakland City. She has served as mayor for 7+ years and has helped Oakland revitalize its economy and cut gun violence in half. Her “17K/17K Housing Plan” has helped increase Oakland’s affordable housing production, stabilize rents, and decrease evictions.
Prior to becoming mayor, Libby was an attorney. She also served as a special assistant for Oakland mayor Jerry Brown and a legislative aide to Oakland City Council president Ignacio De La Fuente.
She serves on the Leadership Council of Kiva, an organization providing microloans to help people kickstart businesses.
The workshop will be held on Zoom.
