Join us for a workshop with Debra Satz, the Dean of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University. She is also a Professor of Philosophy and Ethics. Prior to becoming Dean, she served as Chair of the Department of Philosophy and was the Director for Stanford’s Bowen McCoy Family Center for Ethics.
Prior to joining Stanford, Dean Satz taught at Harvard and Swarthmore. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from MIT. She will discuss the importance of humanities in an increasingly technological world, her day-to-day work as Dean, and the role of confidence in her success.
